about

This song was written about a friend I had who was headed straight down the wrong path. I was so worried, I wrote this song for them. The image of "falling awake" found in the lyrics refers to the way this person was "falling" or so to speak, and I feel eventually they will hit the ground and wake up. Lets hope so! Enjoy this piece!

lyrics

Wake up for the morning,
Wake up for the sunrise and see.

Wake up for the summer,
Hold on till the winter and see.

Will you swing your chariot low,
For the weight of the world is on my shoulders!

Please, will you open,
Please, will you open your eyes?
Look out to the sunrise,
Breathe into your lungs new life,
New life.

And the walls come crashing down,
When the night is fading out.
I will slowly fall,
Fall awake.

Open up your windows,
Open up your windows and breathe in.

Open up your door,
Open up your door and begin.

Begin, oh, Will you swing your chariot low,
For the weight of the world is on my shoulders!

Please, will you open,
Please, will you open your eyes?
Look out to the sunrise,
Breathe into your lungs new life,
New life.

New life!

And the walls come crashing down,
When the night is fading out.
I will slowly fall,
Fall awake.

Ahhh wooooo, ohhh,
Ahhh wooooo, ohhh,
Ahhh wooooo, ohhh, Yeah, uhhh
:)
